So much news (read with a cuppa!)

We've got so much to tell you in this blog post that we're almost bursting with excitement!

Recent Workshops

First up, we had a fantastic #workshop with #MonikaCilmi making #origami flowers - just look at the amazing creations that our guests went home with (it's a lot more complex than it looks!) Monika is an #artist, a #tutor and an accomplished #author - our guests were over the moon with the flowers that the learned to #craft

Monika's next class is perfect for those of you who are planning on giving the perfect #Christmaspresent; perfect for #makers of small items that they #giftwrap and perfect for those of you who just love #origami! Take a look at the #OrigamiForChristmas workshop that we've got on Saturday 9th November - there are still places left and we've love to see you there ... suitable for #beginners and for those who've dabbled in the #traditionalcraft of origami before. It truly is a wonderful #art form and massively therapeutic too!

We also held one of our long-running #beginners' #StainedGlass weekend workshops recently - we were astounded by the enthusiasm and determination of all our guests - as we've been working with #glass for over 25 years, we're always overjoyed when people love our workshops - just look at the incredible pieces that our guest created and took home. Learning #glasscutting, #leading and all the processes that go into making their very own-design, our guests did an incredible job.

Coming up in the #NewYear we've got a new workshop for those of you who've taken our stained glass workshop over the years. In this new #eveningclass taking place over 6 Wednesday evenings beginning on January 22nd, our Follow-on Stained Glass Workshop will cover #designing and cartoon drawing before working on your own project. Great for those of you who've either done a workshop with us, or who have been working at home.

We've also released the first couple of dates in February and March of our Beginners' Stained Glass workshops.

Other classes that we've got coming up before Christmas, and that we've still got spaces on are:

Free-running #embroidery: a 2-hour #eveningworkshop for £25 on Tuesday 12th November ... a #drawingclass for your #sewingmachine!

#Christmas #FroebelStars: a 2-hour evening workshop for £25 on Thursday 14th November - they really are amazing #decorations - for #Christmas or for all year round!

#Fusedglass #Christmasdecorations: a 3-hour #weekendworkshop on Saturday 16th November run by our very own Danielle Hopkinson ... ONLY ONE PLACE LEFT!

An #introduction to #LinoCut with #HannahFarthing: a 6-hour weekend workshop for £65 on Saturday 23rd November. Hannah is an outstanding tutor - take a look at our gallery of previous classes that she's taught in different #printmaking techniques - you really will #learn a #traditionalcraft from a #master in her #trade

#Traditional #ChristmasWreath making: a 2-hour evening workshop for £20 on Wednesday 4th December - get #festive and make something wonderful for your door, or even for your Christmas #centrepiece!

#ChristmasBauble making: a 3-hour weekend workshop for £40 on Saturday 7th December - the extremely talented #EmmaFisher will guide you through #crafting an array of baubles - an #artclass in #paperfolding - go home with a garland or lots of individual hanging delights!

In other news, here's a date for your diary:

Sunday 8th December, 11am-4pm Stoke Bridge Workshops' #ChristmasMarket

A chance for you to browse the work of #localartists, #makers and #creativecrafts people - many of whom will have been #tutors of our workshops. Alongside them will be one or two #local #independentbusinesses who will bring you their #Christmaspresent wares.

So, stick it in your diary and make #Christmasshopping easy this year - #supportlocal #independent #businesses and get your #gifts from us.

Talking of gifts, we've got so many new #workshops coming up in #2020; some are popular workshops that we've previously held and that we know will be popular; some are new workshops from tutors that have taught other #skills with us; and some are brand, spanking new:

We've got #stilllife in #oilpaints with #LauraBeardselleMoore - if you've always wanted to try your hand at #art in #oils then learn #painting from an incredibly talented #artist. We've already mentioned #Beginners' Stained Glass Workshops and Follow-On Workshops and we've got an amazing Folded #Paper #Lampshade making class too.

Coming up in the New Year we've also got plans for classes in #ceramics, #photography, #upholstery, #wire #sculpture, #signwriting, #painting, #art, #drawing and new #jewellery workshops from #AndreaWright. We've also got many other new and exciting ideas for using our #creative space. We're going to be using our #workshops for talks and events - watch this space and follow us on #socialmedia for all the latest news.

Don't forget that we've got #GiftVouchers for sale - the perfect Christmas present for #friends and #family; to be used for any of our workshops next year and are available in various denominations. Why not make this year the year that you buy the #giftoflearning? #Experiences are the top trending present - have a #nowaste Christmas.

In other news, we're supporting an amazing charity, #AngliaCareTrust by attending their spectacular 'Cirque des Rêves' #CharityBall on November 15th. #Tickets are still available (until Monday 4th November), if you'd care to join us and help support this Ipswich-based multi-service charity who offer a wide range of services to our #community. The event is at #IpswichTownHall and, alongside a 3-course #meal, there's #trapeze, #firebreathers and #livemusic. Compered by the fabulous #TallulahGoodtimes, we can't wait for this event! For more information click here

Finally, we'd just like to thank all of our tutors and workshop attendees so far this year and we look forward to seeing lots of you as we approach the festive season - let's make it a #CreativeChristmas!

More news in a couple of weeks as we add more workshops for 2020. Please don't forget, any questions, please give us a call, visit our website or drop in when you're passing
