Our latest workshop was Still Life in Oil Paints for Beginners taught by the extremely talented Laura Beardsell-Moore - read all about Laura here.
Take a look at more pictures from the workshop in our gallery.
Our next workshop with Laura is on 14th/15th September - it's a two-day 'Unleash your creativity in Acrylics or Oils' course and she's sharing the weekend teaching with Debs Burrow. Here's some of Debs' beautiful own work:
Two whole days to coax out your inner artist for £190.
In other news, Wayne Tanswell, our master signwriting tutor is chatting on BBC Radio Suffolk about his latest project which involves painting the seawall at Jaywick Martello Tower on Thursday, August 22 as part of the Tides of Tendring series of events. "The mural will feature a collaborative poem about coastal erosion from 10 local poets and the community is being invited to get involved." Read more here
We're really pleased that Wayne chooses to offer his signwriting beginners' courses with us - he's one of only 300 full-time, professional signwriters in the UK - book your place on his next workshop on 5th October here.
The next courses that we've got coming up are both being taught by jewellery designer, silversmith and artist Andrea Wright. On 18th August, make yourself some earrings - the morning workshop is £70 and you'll get to take away your creations and enjoy wearing them!
Our earring workshop has limited places so that you get the attention you deserve so don't delay, book your place here.
On 24th August Andrea's also teaching a new workshop for us - Drypoint Etching - it's just £60 for the morning and involves scratching lines and marks into metal or plastic plates, and printing through an etching press.
Take a look at the image on the right - it's an example of a drypoint etched image. Take away your own creations after this morning's workshop with our super-talented professional artist Andrea.
We've got lots of other things in the pipeline - not just new workshops. Keep your eyes peeled for our next blog when we'll be revealing all...
Happy summer, we hope to see you all soon
