About The Event
Try your hand at Drypoint etching; an intaglio printmaking process. It involves scratching lines and marks into metal or plastic plates, creating a burr line which will hold ink and creates an image that can be printed over and over again through an etching press.
We will be using plastic plates in this class to produce some beautiful images using a selection of different tools to make varied marks on the plates. Please bring along an idea for your image or a photograph that you would like to work from.
