Something old, something new...

We've had so much fun over the last few weeks since we began our workshop adventure; and so have our attendees. Take a look at some of the pictures below and head on over to our gallery to see more:

Our first upholstery course allowed our guests to leave with their very own occasional chair - take a look at the amazing paints, colours and fabrics that were chosen... some really creative works of art.

Signwriting with Wayne Tanswell allowed our apprentices to learn a traditional trade from a master. Our workshop was so popular that we've added a new date for those that couldn't attend.

Look at our happy lampshade makers! The results of this workshops will allow our makers to light up their lives and to carry on making themselves. We had a lovely review from one of our attendees:

"I just wanted to say a huge thank you for such a brilliant time yesterday at the upholster a chair day.

Victoria was a great teacher with lots of knowledge and patience. The day was really enjoyable and went past so quickly!

I loved learning something new and felt incredibly satisfied bringing my new chair home! I felt very well looked after with lots of treats and a fantastic lunch. Can't wait to come back!"

And our 2-day painting workshop really did help our guests to unleash their creativity. Debs and Laura taught oil and water-based techniques and our guests enjoyed a great weekend with art, lunch and cake (there's always cake!)

So, take a look at the workshops that we've got coming up and keep an eye out for new dates for photography, ceramics, more jewellery and many more workshops. Let us know if there are any skills that you'd like to learn that we don't yet offer - we have a whole band of incredible tutors so, if there's anything that you'd fancy trying, by all means get in touch!

Finally, don't forget, there are spaces left on the following workshops:

Intro to Linocut: 13th April 10am-4:30pm, £100 - learn a new skill - whole day workshop with the most delicious lunch :)

Intro to letterpress: 28th April 9am-1pm, £60 - vintage wood type and an Adana 8x5 press

Fused glass lantern making: 4th May 9:30am-1pm, £75 - with our very own Danielle Hopkinson

Intro to signwriting: 11th June 10am-4pm with master craftsman, Wayne Tanswell - second date for this popular workshop

This weekend there are still a couple of places left on our linocut workshop. Why not bring a friend and use your Saturday to learn a new life skill that you'll be able to take away and use?

As always, we look forward to meeting you.
