About The Event
The course is open to everyone - any experience of photography or software such as Photoshop Elements will be useful but not necessary. You'll learn, from tutor John-Christian Jacques, an overview of how to use the functions and features of a Single Lens Reflex (SLR) camera to your creative advantage.

- Depth of field
- Perspective
- Exposure
- Composition
- Focusing
We will work indoors and sometimes outside the workshop (weather permitting) - we'll use group discussion, on-screen demonstration and presentations. You'll have practical exercies, one-to-one guidance and critiques.
You will need an SLR or Mirrorless type camera. It can be a film or digital SLR camera. Mirrorless cameras such as the Nikon Z6, Canon EOS RP, Lumix G9, Fuji X-T3 or Sony A7 are also great.
You'll also need to bring a laptop.
You'll also need to bring a pen and paper to take notes.
