About The Event

Lady Norfolk and Lord Rust of Queen Street in Ipswich are known for their colourful displays of painted furniture and upholstery in the most fabulous fabrics - vintage fabrics; ethnic fabrics; classical fabrics; designer fabrics - fabrics to suit every style and every home. Victoria Norfolk will teach you how to paint your own chair and how to upholster it in your choice of fabric. A chair and a selection of fabrics will be provided*; chairs will have been stripped prior to your workshop, ready for painting and upholstering.

Included:

  • an occasional chair;
  • a choice of paints;
  • a choice of fabrics;
  • brushes,
  • upholstery tools and equipment,
  • lunch and refreshments

You will need:

  • to wear old clothing / an apron
  • enthusiasm and vision
  • your best humour!

At the end of the day, you will have made the chair yours - you are free to depart with your newfound knowledge and your chair!

This course is limited to 5 places.

*we will offer alternative workshops in which you can bring your own chair and fabric but, with this particular workshop, chairs provided will be suitable for the methods that Victoria will be teaching.
