About The Event
With the popularity of digital photography and the vast amount of images that we take, it seems strange that the majority are left on memory cards, computers or mobiles, with traditional photo albums being replaced with social media accounts.
But within the photo community, small scale publishing has become increasingly popular over recent years, with a revival of the zine culture and photographers distributing their work through small print runs.
This three week course will engage you with most aspects of photo zine production, starting with sequencing your body of work to create layout. You will explore different zine concepts and binding techniques.
At the end of the course, you will have made a range of dummy zines using different techniques including folding, stapling and sewing.
What to bring:-
20-28 photos printed in 4x6 inches and a second set in 6x8 inches with no borders (these can be printed on photo paper or on cartidge paper with a colour printer )
Electronic files on either SD card or USB memory stick (ensure your storage device has no other files other than the selected images)
All zine making materials and refreshments will be provided.
